Welcome
This blog is about the attempt to be consistently creative in a public domain, for my private use. We are all creative, whether we invent a joke, doodle a tattoo design on our hand or find a new way to plumb a sink. The original thoughts we come up with each day may not bring about world change, but they could impact something or someone without us ever realising, so they might be worth jotting down. They might even be considered art, if not by others than by ourselves. Each time I “jot down” something, the paper (usually a petrol docket or movie ticket) inevitably gets lost along with the memory of the creation. We hardly ever commit to history our inventions anyway, or have the drive to. Here I will force myself daily (maybe) to put something on paper (on screen?) that might form part of my legacy. A multimedia journal of sorts. If it sounds wanky, think about it this way: If I don’t do this, each day might pass as a missed opportunity to write or photograph or document something cool and something worth remembering. Basically there may be a lot of rough on here in the coming days (hopefully weeks, perhaps months, potentially a year) but somewhere amongst it will be a few diamonds. I swear.
